Panduan Penulisan / Author Guidelines

Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan Ahlussunah (JIPA) publishes original research articles, conceptual frameworks, and review papers in the field of education (Mathematics, Biology, Geography, Indonesian Language, and Civic Education). Authors are requested to strictly adhere to these guidelines before submitting their manuscripts.

​1. General Submission Requirements

  • ​Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and academically sound English or Indonesian.
  • ​Originality & Plagiarism: Manuscripts submitted must be original, unpublished work, and not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts will be screened for similarity using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin). The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%.
  • ​File Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), or RTF document file formats.
  • ​Length: Articles should generally be between 4,000 and 7,000 words (including abstract, references, tables, and figures).

​2. Manuscript Structure

​Submitted manuscripts should follow the standard IMRaD (Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion) structure:

  1. ​Title Page
    • ​Title: Concise, informative, and describing the main focus of the paper (preferably 10–15 words).
    • ​Author Information: Full name(s) without academic titles, institutional affiliation(s), city, country, and the corresponding author's email address.
  2. ​Abstract and Keywords
    • ​Abstract: A single paragraph of 150 to 250 words summarizing the rationale/objective, methodology, main findings, and conclusions of the research.
    • ​Keywords: 3 to 5 keywords or phrases, separated by semicolons, representing the primary themes of the article.
  3. ​Introduction
    • ​Background of the study, state-of-the-art literature review, research gap, hypothesis (if applicable), and explicit research objectives.
  4. ​Methods
    • ​Detailed explanation of research design, subject/participants, data collection instruments, procedures, and data analysis techniques to ensure reproducibility.
  5. ​Results and Discussion
    • ​Results: Presentation of findings using text, tables, and figures without duplicate presentation.
    • ​Discussion: Interpretation of results, comparison with previous studies, theoretical or practical implications, and limitations of the study.
  6. ​Conclusion
    • ​Summary of key findings answering the research objectives, along with recommendations for future research or practical implementations.
  7. ​References
    • ​All references cited in the text must be listed in the reference section and vice versa.
    • ​Citations and references must strictly follow the APA Style (7th Edition).
    • ​Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
    • ​A minimum of 80% of references should be primary sources (journal articles) published within the last 5–10 years.
    • ​Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) must be provided for references where available.

​3. Submission Process

​Manuscripts must be submitted online via the OJS portal of JIPA:

  1. ​Register/Log in as an Author.
  2. ​Go to the New Submission section.
  3. ​Complete the 5-step submission process, uploading the manuscript file and entering all author metadata accurately.
